Do You Struggle Taking Product Photos? I've Got You.

One of the hardest parts about being an entrepreneur is taking photos of your products. Most of us are not professional photographers or stagers and therefore it takes a really long time to learn and perfect this skill if you want to save the money on taking the images yourself. But guess what? - I have a hack for you.

It used to take me a FULL day to take pictures of a new product line. Between picking up decorative staging objects to actually setting up a space with the right lighting and finally taking pictures and editing them all to death - not to mention if you are a working mom and you have your kids there to interrupt you 8,742 times.

Until I found: PhotoRoom

I am literally awe-struck by the functionality of this app. It is INSANE. What you do is you upload a picture (You do have to buy a premium plan but seriously - just do it. You can even just buy weekly and if you don't like the app it will only cost you $6.99 and then you can cancel). You want to choose pictures where your product is sitting on something - the table, ground etc. You can choose a photo that is either straight on, from above or even on a slight angle off to one side and all of these work flawlessly. You also want something with great lighting. The easiest way to do this is to take a few pictures outside. Just sit them on a table or banister, it does not matter what the background looks like because you are going to remove it.

Once you have some photos like that - upload them on to PhotoRoom, it will automatically cut out the background but if it struggles at all you can also adjust the cut out. Once you are happy with the cut out press INSTANT BACKGROUNDS: this will auto generate the best suggested backgrounds. There are also really great categories you can choose from like Cozy Home, Bathroom, Kitchen, Succulents and much more. Once you have decided on a background that looks smashing you just click share and save to device! Easy. as that. The app even puts in all the shadows and highlights for you. Im going to post some examples of what I have done below!

These literally all took me two minutes to do. Don't walk - RUN to PhotoRoom.

  1. The Photos Look Ama-zing

  2. I had to spend no money on props or equipment

  3. Just snapping a photo outside in the natural light makes SUCH a difference and saves SO much time!

  4. You have access to locations you wouldn't normally even have the opportunity to shoot in

You can thank me later - but for. now go try i t for yourself!

Lots of Love,

Karleigh Jennifer
