We are all guilty or making mistakes - And we all fall off the wagon of positive growth from time to time, myself included. Just recently I actually caught a nasty cold and did not continue my daily routine of writing my blog (Which I love doing, as it wakes up my brain and allows me to help others first thing in the morning). That being said, that little cold and the decision to "take a rest week" costed me not just one week of blog writing and positive self improvement but actually four weeks - because it took me THAT LONG to write my blog after breaking my positive daily habit. Not only did I stop writing my blog but I listened to less self improvement audio books, stopped doing my morning yoga and a number of other positive habits that I am now having to retrain myself to do. Like I said, we all make mistakes but here I am owning mine and this article is designed to help you own yours as well.
So, what are the three major mistakes that business owners make that can throw a wrench into their own success? 1. Not Having Consistent Habits - These habits and routines are massively important to your overall success. If you are not growing and making positive choices every single day, than you are making negative choices and falling into a slump - And believe me it is really hard to get out once you are there. Make a plan - WHAT routines could you develop that would help you reach your goals? Once you have a plan, stick with that plan.
2. Not Learning Every Day - The world is changing and evolving every day. If you are not sharpening the blade that is your mind than you will not grow. It is not until you become willing to learn from successful people that you will in turn become successful yourself.
3. Not Setting Goals - A missile that does not have a target will never hit its mark. If you want something for yourself or your family, you need to write it down and form your life around it or your hopes and wishes to achieve success will be just that - hopes and wishes.
