Are you just dipping your toes into the entrepreneurial pool, and your unsure where to start? How do you get that first sale? Build that initial following of dedicated people in your target market? Well I have 3 fabulous tips for you below that will help you get off the ground running!

Tip #1 - Sign up for at least one of your local farmers markets or craft markets. When I first started out I signed up as a full time vendor for both my local market and the local market one town over from me. These markets both ran once a week all summer long. Signing up full time was one of the best choices I could have made because #1 you save money by not paying weekly and #2 It made me really "get it together", make a ton of products and always kept me pushing to achieve new sales goals. These twice weekly markets helped me immensely in getting the word out there about my company and products as well as giving me more money (capital) to continue expanding my business more rapidly. Buying better equipment, supplies and shelving units to organize my workspace, branding materials and paying for my website and business insurance. The money I made at these markets really helped get my business off the ground quickly. Also - you build your facebook and instagram followings and review pages just by asking the people that you meet to follow, like and review when they have made a purchase. Really - Markets are a Win-Win in the beginning. I also ended up getting about 6 ongoing wholesale deals with store owners in my local area in my first summer, many of these stores still carrying my products today. ** Also I will be doing more articles like "Farmers Market Checklist" "How to Display your products" "How to speak to customers" and more on this Blog in the following weeks so make sure to check back if you are going to sign yourself up for some markets!**

Tip #2 - Write out a schedule for your social media and stick to it. Consistency is Key when it comes to growing accounts on social media. You want to post daily to see any growth & you can even schedule posts! Personally, I sit down on the weekend and decide what I want to post each day during the week. I spend several hours on Sunday making this content and before I go to sleep I schedule all of my posts for the week so that I don't even have to think about it! Also - Forget all this mumbo jumbo you see on social media about how to post and when to post. It really DOES NOT MATTER. As long as your content is valuable to the people you are trying to target and you post this content regularly and consistently your account will grow. Good things take time. Remember social media can be very very fake and likely if you see someone becoming an overnight sensation with there business and you are like"omg what am I doing wrong"- Babe its not you, 99% of the time the accounts that have gone from 10 followers for 20K overnight have paid scam apps and websites to do this, or they have paid for a promotion from an account that doesn't even have real followers. DO NOT do this. You will screw your business over no doubt. These fake followers do not interact with your posts and are not your target audience. If you do this social media platforms will show these "bots" your content, they will hardly interact at all and the platform will think that content is no good and wont push it out to anyone new, or if they do push it out, it will be to the wrong demographic and target audience.

Tip #3 - Talk about your business to EVERYONE - You need to love your business so much that no matter who you are around, they know everything about you, your business and what you are trying to accomplish. You never know if the person you are chatting with every day has the connections or advice that can change your life.
I hope you have a wonderful day today! And make sure you take some time to think about what your next steps might be in your business now that I have given you some things to consider!
Lots of Love,
